Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill is currently in a different zone altogether in terms of his batting form. In the last one year he has scored a century in all three formats including an ODI double century. Gill was the second highest scorer for Gujarat with 483 runs at an average of 34 and was just 4 runs shy of the leading run getter Hardik Pandya. Gill will play an important role for the Gujarat franchise and would be firing on all cylinders at the top of the order.

Rashid Khan
The outstanding Afghanistan recruit was the second highest wicket taker for the Gujarat franchise in the last season. Rashid picked up 19 wickets at an average of 22 and was just one wicket behind Shami who had 20 scalps to his name. The conditions at Motera are known to assist the seamers but with the bigger ground, Rashid can be a formidable option being a wrist spinner. Rashid has played in almost all international leagues and has worked on his batting abilities making him a solid lower order finisher who can chip in with some decent contributions with the willow.

David Miller
David Miller had a great inaugural season for the Gujarat team last year where he contributed almost every game and scored 481 runs at an average of 68 and a strike rate of 142, just 6 runs behind top scorer Hardik. Miller hit some great sixes in the last season and was the highest six hitter for the franchise with 23 maximums. Miller has been a great asset for the South African team and the Gujarat franchise and would definitely hope to live up to his billing.

Mohammed Shami
The Indian pacer ended up being the highest wicket taker for Gujarat in the last season where he effected 20 dismissals. Shami ended the season as the joint 6th highest wicket taker of the 2022 Indian T20 League. With the pitch at Motera assisting the seamers, Shami could be a solid contender for the purple cap and would be leading the bowling department along with Rashid Khan. Shami also has the ability to smack those big sixes at the end of the lineup.

Alzarri Joseph
Alzarri Joseph had a pretty ordinary season for the Gujarat franchise in the last edition and would hope to contribute a bit more with his extra pace. Joseph will be assisted with the seam friendly conditions at Motera and would be played for almost all home games. The tall West Indian pacer would use his height to his advantage and would make it difficult for the batters to hit it out of the park. Shami and Alzarri could be a solid bowling duo for the Gujarat team and would hope to get the team to great starts with the ball.

Kane Williamson
The latest recruit for Gujarat, Kane Williamson is an achiever on the biggest stage and would definitely bolster the Gujarat batting order. Kane is known for his ability to anchor the innings and could be an important top order batter that the team could revolve around throughout the season. Williamson has been in the Indian T20 League circuit since the 2015 season, won the 2016 season and has played a pivotal role for the Hyderabad franchise as their skipper. Kane is currently in great batting form and would be looking forward to contributing for his new team.

Matthew Wade
The Aussie wicket keeper batter is one of the most entertaining hitters of the current crop. Having played 10 matches in the last season for Gujarat and scored only 157 runs at an average of 15, Wade would be hoping for a much better season for his team. Wade is an asset behind the stumps and could end up playing an important part for the franchise but only as a batter as Saha is more or less certain to be the first choice keeper for the franchise.
